Description
Photographer Carl Toth (1947–2022) served as Artist-in-Residence and Head of the Photography Department at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, from 1972 until 2007.
Throughout his forty year career, Carl Toth pushed the boundaries of photography by experimenting with the SX-70 Polaroid camera and using the photocopier as a creative tool, treating it almost like a camera lens. Through his detailed collage and photomontage work, he created intricate still-life compositions that hovered between realism and abstraction.
This collection of monographs was published in 2005 as part of the 12-volume The Cranbrook Monographs Series. Soft-cover, 22 pages, very good condition. Currently out of print. Please contact us with any questions, or if you’d like to request additional photos of this book.
