Description
In this lyrical, introspective novel, Israeli poet Yehuda Amichai explores memory, displacement, and the lingering wounds of history through the story of a man caught between Jerusalem and the German town of his childhood. Moving between past and present, love and loss, Amichai blends personal narrative with political undercurrents, creating a meditation on identity, belonging, and the landscapes that shape a life. A quiet, resonant work from one of Israel’s most celebrated literary voices.
This is a first edition, hardcover edition of this book. The jacket has some chipping, especially at the spine (see detail photos), but it’s since been wrapped in a Mylar sleeve to prevent further damage. There’s some spots on the jacket on the lower-left hand corner (see photos). Also, the top of the book has red edging, while the other sides do not.
